DESCRIPTION:
LEVELTEC is a polymer modified, Cementitious based, pourable, self leveling topping for existing concrete floors. It is used for smoothing existing concrete floors to provide excellent underlayment prior to installation of a variety of floor coverings.

USES: For smoothing concrete floors before application of vinyl tile, wood, ceramic, carpet and sheet goods.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION: Concrete: all concrete should be cured at least 28 days. Shot blasting is highly recommended to remove any coatings or anti-adherents as well as to produce a profile as described in ICRI CSP (concrete surface profile) NO.5 (medium shot blast). Oil or grease soaked concrete must be completely degreased as Leveltec will not adhere to those areas. Prime floors with Universal Polymer Concentrate diluted 1:1 with clean water. Scrub into surface with a broom. Broom out any puddles. Allow to dry clear before placing Leveltec. Notes for concrete prep: Patching: for deep spalls use Cemtec Rapid Cure Concrete Repair (regular or high build) to bring surface flush with surrounding floor. Cracks: Honoring expansion joints and control joints is essential. Include expansion or control joints at perimeters, abutments and around columns. Never bridge cracks with Leveltec.

INSTALLATION: Follow applicable surface preparation requirements. Primed areas should be evaluated. Highly absorptive concrete may require double priming to prevent pinholes. Double priming consists of diluted Universal Polymer Concentrate with 1 part polymer and 3 parts water by volume. Prime as described and allow to dry. Next apply a second coat of primer diluted 1:1 with water. Substrate temperatures should be between 50º F and 100º F.

Mixing: each 50 lb bag of Leveltec requires the addition of 5 to 5 ½ quarts clean water. Additional water may be needed to adjust consistency, never to exceed 5 ¾ quarts. Mix approx. 2-3 minutes until smooth and lump free. When pumping material, be sure to place a mesh screen sock at the nozzle.

Placement: pour or pump material on the floor in a snake type pattern. Position the material with a gauge rake to desired thickness, then smooth with a long handle smoother or roll with a porcupine (spine) roller. (NOTE: spine rollers may leave small indentions or shade variations where spines exit the material). Always place additional material to a wet edge of previously placed product. A systematic plan for the amount of area to be filled should be evaluated. Damming up the material for successive placement may be necessary to maintain wet edge contact.

Thicker Applications: Leveltec is designed to fill from 1/8” to ½” thickness. Rounded, washed, dry pea gravel (1/8” to ¼”) may be added at a rate of ½ to 1 by volume of Leveltec. This addition will reduce flow and workability of Leveltec. Consideration should be made to finish a deeper pour with a successive ¼” finish topping.

LIMITATIONS: For interior use only

Apply in temperatures between 50º F and 100º F. Block off sun and wind with barriers.

Over watering is extremely detrimental to product performance Do not allow Universal Polymer Concentrate to freeze

Hot conditions will require the use of chilled or ice water. Store bags in shaded area prior to mixing. Ice bags should be laid on pump hose to keep material cool while pumping.

Protect placed material from freezing for 48 hours after placement.

Heaters may be used as long as they are not directed or blowing across placed material.

Never add any other materials to Leveltec except for prescribed aggregate and clean cool water.
